Along the Firehole River
We took a side-road that ran along the Firehole River and past the Firehole Falls. It's cool how that outcropping sticks right out into the river without being eroded away in the current. Must be made of stronger stone than the surrounding hills. The falls themselves are much more spectacular in person. They throw up a lot of spray, and move really quickly. Much more impressive in motion. I did get some video of other motion-dependant features, but the video option on my cam is pretty sketchy. Still, I might upload them later for humor value if nothing else -- the comments my family members make when they don't know there's a microphone listening are comedy gold.

Note the burned areas behind the falls in this pic and the first one.
